GIVING THANKS

Thank you God, for allowing me to live another day!

This morning I was a little upset with my siblings not respecting my personal belongings. We are all adults and due to the decisions and situations that of our lives, we are all back together again in our parents' home. This has been challenging, but God is going to get us through this. When I could not find this particular item this morning I started to feel upset, but I had to stop myself. I could do one of two things: I could act foolishly and get angry and start fussing about it or I could be patient and pray that God lets me deal with this in a more reasonable matter. So I got dressed and said to myself I am going to have a good day. I felt many different emotions this morning but there is proof that when you have God on you side you don't have to sweat the small stuff. The real misfortunes lies on the heart of the person who had to take my belongings. And I pray that God takes care of them so that person does not have to even feel like they need to take from others. I decided to share this with you because a friend of mine is having a tough time and she emailed me this morning and wrote this at the end of her email: "after all this is a day the Lord has made let us rejoice and be glad in it." (Ps. 118:24) Wow, that right there made me think. For all the problems that we experience in our lives, at least we can give thanks and rejoice in knowing that today is today and we are here. Why let the actions of people ruin our day. As long as you live on this earth there are going to be some ups and downs in your life. But you can always take comfort in knowing that God is with you. Try going through the day praying for those who afflict you in some way. Pray about your situations both good and bad. And at the end of the day see how you feel.

I love you. God Bless!
