Romans 5 - Peace and Joy

I am reading the Book of Romans now and would like to share chapter 5 verse 1 through 11. These are my point of view and please feel free to comment if you like...

1Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ,
2through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we rejoice in the hope of the glory of God.

God is so good that He gave His Son so that we may be saved!!! All we have to do is just have a little faith in His Son. We just need to believe that Jesus lived, died (for us), and came back all so that we can have eternal life. Praise God! Peace and Joy is what I felt when I read these verses.

3Not only so, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance;
4perseverance, character; and character, hope.

Being a Christian does not mean we will not ever go the bad times. However, knowing just how much God loves us, we know we don't have to worry. God's plans for us will not change. Whatever, he takes us through is only going to make us stronger. Preparing us for something. Building our character and strengthening our faith.

5And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom he has given us.
6You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly.
7Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous man, though for a good man someone might possibly dare to die.
8But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
9Since we have now been justified by his blood, how much more shall we be saved from God's wrath through him!
10For if, when we were God's enemies, we were reconciled to him through the death of his Son, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved through his life!
11Not only is this so, but we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received reconciliation.

As Christians we should have peace and joy in our hearts so filled that it flows over in every aspect of our life. Even when the going gets tough. God is in control. Not us. He gave us His Son so that we may be saved. He loved us so much. Everything He does is good. When we let go of self and grab hold to Christ we will realize that we belong to Him and God takes care of those He loves. Jesus forgave us as he died, giving us a chance at life. We might get upset sometimes and we may feel some sort of pain in our lifes, but we shouldn't let go of our peace and joy. Hold on to it, Jesus is always there.

Thank you God!

Have a blessed day ladies.

  1. Verses 7 and 8 are so powerful. Who would have thought, that the God of the universal would take on death, for me? It was not because I am so righteous, or so noble, but because I was a sinner, and thus separated from God, who desperately loves me.

In my Bible Study I have to read Romans Chapter 4, over and over, why do you think that is?

  2. In Romans Chapter 4, Paul is telling the Jews that everyone is a descendant of Abraham and all are sinners and all who have faith in Christ can be saved. I have been lead to read this several times too. I just think it is powerful, because no one has the right to think that they are better than the next because we all have the same opportunity to receive blessings from God. Just Trust in Jesus...
