Winning or Lucky versus Blessed or Favored

I was told recently that a young lady received a financial blessing...from the church. The young lady that received the funds told her friend that she won the money. I began to think on this proclamation. The young lady did not win anything nor was she lucky but in fact she was "blessed and/or favored". There are times that I feel as if I'm not lucky or that I do not win, then I am reminded that this is the worlds analogy. In fact, I am blessed and high favored of the Lord. I have heard this saying repeated endlessly by my elders. As I ponder it, I must admit that it is in fact a very true statement. I make more money than I ever thought I would....I'm blessed. I have a position (job) that academically others are more qualified to do.....I'm highly favored. I would rather be blessed and highly favored any day than win or be lucky. I am a a child of God and as any parent can tell you the relationship between a parent and their child is a special one. The child in the most parents eyes is always highly favored over the other kids and most parents will always bless their child over the other kids (even if it does not seem that way). So you see as a child of God I am blessed and highly favored of the Lord due to my relationship with Him through His Son, Jesus Christ my Saviour and Lord. I am told in the Bible, that no good thing will the Lord withhold from me and that He will give me the desires of my heart.....all I have to do is be obedient and have faith in His divine will.
On the other hand luck is just that luck... today you could be lucky tomorrow not so lucky. Therefore, the outcome is dictated by chance, a gamble and shows lack of faith in God.
Give God the praise, because also like any parent enjoys praise, the Lords loves the praise which also opens the door for even more blessings.
